Actuate Selected to Power the Next Phase of AI-driven Video Patrol Automation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Charlotte, NC – June 17, 2025 – Immix, the global leader in video and event-based monitoring software, is proud to announce that Actuate, a leader in AI-driven remote video monitoring solutions, has been selected as the next partner to power AutoPatrol. Actuate’s AI will be available in the AutoPatrol solution in Q3 2025.

AutoPatrol is an AI-driven solution purpose-built to automate scheduled guard tours and improve operational efficiency for monitoring centers, using artificial intelligence to perform video patrols, detect potential threats, and escalate anomalies to a human operator only when necessary. Through this partnership, Actuate will embed new layers of intelligence directly into the Immix platform, delivering enhanced automation, contextual analysis, and operational scale to Immix customers.

“Immix continues to invest in automation and AI as a path to unlocking new services and better margins for our customers while also being careful not to add complexity to the operation. AutoPatrol allows a center to immediately realize a significant ROI in new services as well as reduce labor costs.  In short, we’re giving monitoring centers the ability to automate what can be automated and redirect human talent to where it has the most impact — resolving incidents, engaging clients, and driving service value. That’s how you scale intelligently.” said Chris Brown, CEO of Immix. “Actuate shares that vision, and we’re confident their AI capabilities will help expand the value of AutoPatrol by detecting threats with even greater accuracy and enabling our customers to offer smarter, more efficient, and differentiated services. With recent enhancements like automated audio responses, we’re helping customers shift from passive detection to proactive deterrence — at scale.”

AutoPatrol empowers centers to detect intruders, crowds, fire, smoke, or unauthorized vehicles without manual intervention. Detected scene anomalies are prioritized in the Immix patrol queue for operator review, maintaining familiar workflows.

Actuate’s detection algorithms are highly sophisticated, utilizing advanced deep learning models that enable exceptional accuracy and robustness in complex environments. Their algorithms analyze extensive contextual data and recognize subtle patterns, deviations, and behaviors that less advanced systems might overlook. This high level of analysis results in fewer false alarms and more reliable threat detection, making the solution notably resilient and dependable.

Initial capabilities include:

  • Person and vehicle detection, including historical activity or absence
  • Crowd activity and fire detection
  • Context around historical patrol data and deviations
  • Site-level alert summarization
  • Location-specific event detection
  • Vehicle classification, such as identifying delivery vehicles
  • Use of Dynamic Slicing for better detection confidence at greater distances

The system offers high configuration flexibility, scene awareness, and detection accuracy, while respecting system resource limits and queue logic. Actuate’s advanced algorithms significantly enhance the system’s robustness and reliability, solidifying AutoPatrol as a more intelligent and dependable monitoring solution.

The Power of Audio in AutoPatrol

Immix has long championed and supported the use of audio with all video monitoring and AutoPatrol is no different. In addition to raising video alerts for operator review, AutoPatrol now also supports configurable automated audio responses. This new feature enables customers to associate pre-recorded or dynamic voice messages with specific detection scenarios — allowing the system to play a warning, instruction, or deterrent message through on-site speakers without requiring manual intervention. This capability provides immediate, proactive engagement in response to detected threats and helps monitoring centers deliver a more visible security presence without added staffing.

Ongoing Innovation:

Immix continues to lead the strategic development of AutoPatrol, ensuring each evolution of the solution aligns with the needs of professional monitoring centers. Both companies have committed to a second phase of development efforts which will leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to bring even greater contextual awareness and cross-camera intelligence to the platform — detecting nuanced conditions like open doors, propped gates, uniformed personnel, or changes in lighting and fencing anomalies. These enhancements deepen AutoPatrol’s value as a scalable, AI-powered tool for delivering high-impact, automated services.

Ken Francis, CEO of Actuate, commented, “We’re proud to expand our strategic relationship with Immix through AutoPatrol. This solution not only exemplifies how AI can transform routine monitoring tasks into high-value services — it also reflects the growing demand for intelligent automation that can scale with each customer’s business. Together, we’re delivering operational efficiency that doesn’t compromise accuracy, reliability, or responsiveness.”

The partnership builds on the existing integration between Immix and Actuate, which already provides security operations centers with enhanced event detection and false alarm reduction capabilities. With AutoPatrol, the two companies now offer even greater value for customers looking to standardize and scale their remote guarding services.

“The evolution of AutoPatrol is something we’ve been thoughtfully designing from the beginning, and Actuate’s alignment with our long-term vision — both technically and commercially — makes them an ideal partner,” said Mark Kenna, Director of Product at Immix. “Their roadmap complements ours, and their approach to edge-based detection, camera-level configuration, and contextual analysis gives us a strong foundation for more intelligent monitoring and further collaboration.”

Brian Leary, VP of Technology at Actuate, added, “AutoPatrol is more than just automation — it’s about delivering AI that understands the scene, filters out noise, and raises meaningful alerts without burdening the operator. We’ve built our detection stack to support real-world deployments with scalable accuracy, and we’re excited to bring this to life with Immix.”

The extension of AutoPatrol to include Actuate’s technology is expected to bring immediate benefit to customers.

Erin Bullard, Director of Partner Relations at Immix, “Having overseen operations in a monitoring center in the past, one of the biggest challenges monitoring centers face is scaling services without scaling headcount. What excites me most about this evolution of AutoPatrol is how it opens the door to smarter, more efficient service delivery — not by replacing operators, but by allowing them to focus on higher-value tasks.
